John Blackhurst was born and raised in Medford, Oregon. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon and his law degree from Northwestern College of Law at Lewis and Clark College. After graduating from law school, John clerked for Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge, James Ellis, and then returned to Medford where he was a deputy district attorney for three years. He spent the next 28 years practicing law at the firm of Kellington, Krack, Richmond and Blackhurst. John is currently the managing partner of Hornecker Cowling LLP.
